Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    Need YOUR opinion

I want YOUR GUY's personal opinions here. If you had the chance to build your own turbo manifold (DSM Inlet flange - $17, Exhaust Flange - Free - Cut out on a Computer controlled plasma cutter), or simply pay $50-80 for a DSM manifold and drill it, what would you do? The manifold I would build would be a log style, most likely. Which do YOU think would flow better? A log style, or the DSM?

shit mang, build it yourself. Price is right for the materials...and you will feel real good like once you put it on and run it. Just my .02.

THE dsm manifold flows worlds better than any log style one. IT also is very reliable (2g are more reliable and flow a bit better). Just port it a bit and you are good to go.

For the time and effort of building a mediocre log style (which flows way worse), you are much better off DSM style.

Well, I just found a 1g manifold for $20 plus shipping. I figure if it has any cracks, I'll just get some cast iron welding sticks and weld it up.

if you can weld cast...all the power to ya.
I found my 2g one with no cracks for $50 shipped. Pretty good.

and as for the "redrilling" i found that some were close that you can Drill them so to speak (unless you have a cnc or something). I used a dye grinder and matched the F22 exhaust gasket. For another upgrade, port matching the DSM manifold to the f22 head would be good too. it's off by about 1/8".

I am going n/a for the moment, but just to tide me over. After I finish this project (and my summer surprise), the N/A setup will be transfered over to my friends Accord.

Here is a pic of the manifold. Seems to be ok (at least on this side...who knows what horror stories the other side might hold...).

If you are going to make your own manifold, why settle for a log style?

I would do the log style only because my fab skills aren't the greatest...either way, I got my DSM manifold on the way.
