Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

is it r-12 or 134? are you planning to keep your a/c, what exactly or you doing?
MR Thread- I brought SEXY back- LOL
If it jams, force it. If it breaks, it needed replacement anyway.

Never argue with an idiot, they drag you down to their level and then beat you with with experience!!!

If you need to drain it to take it out and not put it back in just take out the bleeder and stand back.... and watch as a hole in the ozone is created above your house.

lemme guess. low pressure line. where it bends to meet the compressor. right near the power steering pump.

that bend is hitting the o2 housing on your 14b im assuming?

it happened to me, i had to end up filing the pressure pipe down until it cleared the o2 housing... your ac wont work well since youre bottlenecking the pressure hose, but if youre going to scrap it anyways, id suggest doing this. less work and whenever the AC system comes out, you can just buy a new pressure hose from honda for about 30 bucks and youll have functioning ac...

i had this exact problem, and it was the easiest option in order to retain both, plus once the turbo came out i could use a/c will almost no work...

or you can take an impact to the fitting on the compressor, and watch the shit blow up in your face.

its hard to see when your eyeballs are coated in oil... ask me how i know

when i had my dsm setup, i used a soft hammer and lightly tapped the line till the o2 housing didnt hit, and my a/c still worked fine

I just ripped mine out completely, it works great. ITs a two hour project to pull and its kinda fun plus the drivers corner up there is so much cleaner withoutall the wires and crap.

ditto but its not the dp for me its the atomospheric dump pipe. I hacked and filled it down. You will more then likely do what lo said or get a custom line built but not sure where you can get that done at.

But ya i just took a flathead and let it spray in the air while i had a respirator mask on and goggles and gloves

i believe you could use summits fuel lines and fittings, although i'm not sure how much pressure your a/c is at, i asked this same question couple mth back but no one didnt know how much the lines take

to answer your question on how to drain it, simply remove the tire valve thingy and stand back.

Now for the other issues. to keep your A/C you will have to bend the line or remove it and cut off both ends and take them to a hose/fitting shop and have them make you a custom hose. Make sure you get measurements for where the bends need to be. Thats what I did for my P/S line.

when you replace the line you will have to have your A/C seviced- Vacummed and filled.

the a/c has like 3x more pressure than fuel. so it would blow the line.
