    Cold Air...

I need a Cold Air Intake for my CB7, But I have a H22A instead of the f22b. My old short ram still fits but I want a Cold Air for it.. So any suggestions??

What Brand? I was considering Injen.
How would I get it to fit?? Is it the same as the cb7 cold air or h22 cold air??
Basically Which one do I get??? and where??

lol you should just keep the stock box buy some dry ice and put it in the bottom of the airbox.. ull gain 15 horsepower just off of that alone better than cold air... and its proven science!

Buy a h22 prelude intake.... The piping is slightly bigger than the accord piping. With the accord intake you'll notice how tight and hard it is to fit the sleeve over the h22 throttle body.

hows about you have the dry ice isolated so that you dont suck any more co2 into the engine than you have to?

i have aem cold air intake for my cb7 right now. it fits just fine. you need to do some cutting. it shows that in the intake install thread. use the search to find the thread.

the only thing is the mounting bracket doesnt mount up. i made my own braket on my own. my friend fabricated a bracket for me.

                works like a charm.

yeah the engine most likely would not run. Co2 is a byproduct of burned oxygen.

ebay pipe, and a top shelf filter(SB, K&N, fujita etc........

I saw that dry ice method but it was on a turboe'd evolution after the new body style came out a LONG time ago...and it was placed on the intercooler.

Any way go with afore mentioned advice...just buy parts for the h22...slight custom tubing? good to go...why not keep the short ram? or just modify it's tubing? Might be cheaper to add to that tubing to get what you need

I want the sound the Cold Air makes..its so much deeper than the short-ram. So if i get the h22's cold air it will fit right in??

                              ?
sound changes are due to resonance in the intake tubing...increasing the size of the tubing will do this...or just hacking off the resonator box to. Mine has a nice growl at WOT due to that, I imagine it will alter the sound more (deeper? I dunno) when I bore the tb and get a larger plenum...but I've never had short ram on my honda so I can't really answer your question there.

of course, larger tubing on a none bored tb limits your gains too.

I thought you said you had an h22 swap so that's why I was saying use the short ram tubing and either use the tubing to make a custom CAI setup, or just use the short ram...

or do like hondafan81 says...but urea injection is still debated as to its effectiveness
