Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    internals

ive got a bare H22A1 block...as it stands right now, i might just have to buy a blown engine to get all the major components. what im concerned about is the cost. of course a entire H22 swaps gonna run me $1000 and change...if u dont think so, i live in the U.S. Virgin Islands. Shipping to here sux ass. someone has a H22 that failed a compression check on one cylinder...at the same time im getting a head, rotating assembly, distributor, etc, all for $600 essentially. What i wanna know is, are there any other rotating assemblies, or crank and rods i should say that work as well as the stock H22 internals? Like I have heard F22 internals, minus the pistons give me a little more displacement (minor). But at the same time i cannot find ANY H22 rotating assembly components for sale anywhere...ebay google craigslist...if it comes down to it, i think ill have 2 get that blown one for 600...or if not, i might hold off a couple more months, find a shop and let them assemble/rebuild the short-block for me with Type-S pistons (definitely, or else Mahle Gold), and what ever crank and rods work, and new bearings, seals, oil pan, etc...soooo, what else fits guys???

honestly this seems like too much work. maybe if all you needed was a simple working head or block to add on. internals like cams would be easy to work with but the crank IMO will take too much time. H22 parts will be a little harder to get your hands on.

i dont see why you cant use f22/h23 parts. just use a thicker head gasket, the machine shop would know what to do. if you use stock rods, you have to get a certain piston with the right wrist pin which i cant remember for the life of me.

do u know someone who has done this actual build? An H22 with F22/H23 internals? I need some sort of guidelines or something 2 go on. Or someone to talk to about it...
