Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    H22 Type-S cams

ok guys i just recently bought a set of type s cams off ebay for a really low amount, and ime having second thoughts on wether they are really type s cams or not, and i was wondering if anyone could link me to specs or tellme how to read the specs lol all i see most of the time is 275/267(not real type s numbers)? wtf does that mean? i know ones intake and the others exhuast but is that in .001" or what?, also where do i measure form to get the base diameter, from the groves in between the lobes or the cam journel?

    thanks

do they have a blue tint to them? if not, they're definitely not type s cams.

I believe the specs are on h-t in the prelude cam thread.

well usually cams are read in lift and duration as well as overlap. they are measured in thousands of an inch by which you need a micrometer and make sure you are reading it right since some people mess up on that part

yea im using a mic but they seem really low, and the cams arnt in the engine so that may have something to do with it, like the vtec lobe reads .390 but in the specs on that HT thread it says they should be

I got this info from my own measurements and Automotive Engineering,
