Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

Do you just want the engine refurbished, or do you want to upgrade and increase your power as well?

Just freshin it up and mabe mild port/polish on the head!!

That matched with a delta cam I think would make for a nice street car...

A bisimoto stage 1 or 2 regrind would be a better cam than a delta cam.

HondaFan has a thread about a budget port/polish head package for around 600 I believe.

Well you would probably need/want a tune with a stage 2, but the idle is supposedly fine.

A stage 1 would probably be better for you then, but its not going to make that much power over stock....but neither is a mild delta regrind.

a 272 will yield over 150whp..how is that not much over stock?

Anyways, are you talking new rings, bearings, seals...etc.? If that's the case, you'll be spending upwards of $1000 for something like that. I'd charge $800 just for the labor and that's with me outsourcing the machine work.

I was thinking a 260 or whatever it is isn't that more comparable to a bisi stage 1?

You can't compare a delta regrind to the bisi regrinds. They are COMPLETELY different in the specs. Hell, the 272 redlines over 7k and puts out between 150-160 and a lvl2 redlines around 6.5k but puts out 160-170.

I'm not wantin to go crazy on the rebuild the motor is in great condition with no botom end noise at all and the top end is getting a little loud and sounds like it needs a valve job soon...But other than that she's great and STRONG!!

                      My Mods are...

                      F22A6

                      AEM CAI (not the shorty)
                      4-2-1 header.
                      Test-pipe.
                      Apexi WS2 Cat-Back.
                      Apexi SAFC2
                      5 Speed Conversion.
                      8 lb Aluminum Flywheel.
                      Stage 3 Clutch.
                      P/S, A/C, and Cruze Deleted.
                      Stock ECU

So I was thinking just freshin it up and add a delta 260 cam and having it tuned for good street use..

                        I wouldn't waste my money on a 260. A 272 is plenty streetable.
