From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    TB/MAP sensor question

So i bought an omnipower 70mm throttle body and i noticed the nipple where our map sensor connects to is not there. Instead i discovered that on this throttle body the map sensor sits on top of it. Now my question is if i were to get this aftermarket map sensor would i have to splice in a plug from say a b-series motor to the plug that connects our map sensor. and if so would this work perfectly fine? Im sure this is a little confusing. Thanks again for the help

yes you need to get the right style plug - even tps ones work
once wired it will work fine. If you need anything else let me know as I did it on my ride for the 4bar map

you can also plug that hole with rtv silicone or somthing and just run your vac line to the intake manifold nipples

ok if i can get my hands on the female side for the map sensor then i am going to do it that way omnipower has a 3bar that replaces the stock map sensor ill try that route first if that doesnt work then i will just fill the hole with JB weld and use another nipple for it. Thanks guys

unless your ecu is chipped, you cant add a higher bar sensor. I have never liked the silicon route. They do make a cover plate for these applications.

You must be running turbo? Otherwise a 3 bar sensor and a 70 mm throttlebody probably won't be ideal for you
