Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    h22 skunk2 im with h23 adapter?

I was thinking ....is it worth spending the money for a h22 skunk2 manifold and then getting the adapter kit that they sell for the h23?...... Right now im currently on iab double stacks ... and just wondering if this will be worth it?

IMHO absolutely, theres no way the stock manifolds can outflow the S2. It's a shame this mod isn't done more often, but then again people are just being cheap. If you port it and portmatch the throttle body there are some serious gains to be had over the H23 IM. Maybe you can popularize it in the community. Good Luck.

While you should make a different thread for a different topic, phearable is a good guy. He's local to me. I'm running one of his chipped P28s right now. But don't run your car on his basemaps. The basemap is designed to get you to the shop, so you can get dynoed. I think even Vega himself says this on his site.

Local to you? Haha your in jacksonville :P Im 10 minutes from his house.

It is advised to not drive around on a basemap. However the way i look at it is, i am running an h22 with bolt ons, cant be hard to makw a good basemap for that. Ive been driving around on it for over a year now with no issues.

not to jack this thread but what about the Euro-R manifold? either way i hope this will be more popular for the guys that build a f22.

I'm closer to him than most people on this board. I realize there may be people who are closer.

I resent that remark about it not being too hard to make a basemap however, if that were the case you'd be making your own wouldn't you? I admit John is very damn good at what he does, and over time he probably has pretty "Safe" calibrations. But still, a basemap is a basemap, get it on the dyno, that's what it's for. You're really holding back the performance of your car with a basemap, as I'm sure he's trying to make sure it doesn't blow up, by designing something overly aggressive.

The EuroR would be the first choice, but try finding one. And then when you do, have the cash to get it off their hands. The last one I saw was for $600 shipped.

Or, what I think might be the best manifold out there, but even more expensive than the EuroR, the Golden Eagle Manifold no adapter required!

i think the golden eagle would be a great choice but it looks over kill for a stock h23. (idk if your is built or not).so i do say the skunk2 is better off.

You run into clearance issues WITH AN H22. The F22 doesn't have the second cam so there's more room for it. With the GE Manifold you might have an issue then....

i remember when i was installing the h22 in my brothers accord with the skunk2 manifold and the intake temp sensor was touching one of the brake lines on the master cylinder. Also had to grind off 2 studs on the firewall so the iacv would hit it.

will the clearance issues still be the same for the h23 ? Isnt the h22 head bigger then the h23 doch non vtec?

Heads should be about the same size and even if it is smaller shouldn't be by much. But with the adapter you may run into clearance issues.

Clearance issues or no...it should still fit. If worst comes to worst, take the head off and attach it like that. You'd just have to inconveniently do a new headgasket and timing belt. But I doubt it will get that bad. The adapter isn't even a quarter of an inch right? I think I got a good 2 inches clearance with my H22 under the hood.
