Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    The head was sent in today, so I should have that back soon. Thinking right now about lowering the wagon and updating the suspension and than next Friday order bearings and 5speed swap mounts.

      Just ordered an "ebay" header because mine just started leaking bad. So while I was at it I ordered a thermal gasket for the intake. Also got the "ebay" wagon exhaust. Going to try and get my tanabe hyper medallion muffer to weld on straight though, not a big fan of fart cans.

      Also after the motor and 5speed swap is done this car is getting put on the back burner. I picked up a 1984 c4 corvette from a buddy for $160, it is a rolling shell. The title is going to cost $700 to transfer, have to pay of the lien in order to get it. That will get an lsx and 4l60e swap, will shoot for about 375hp to the wheels when that gets done.

        Just sent the payment for my ecu, Also ordered the thermal gasket. Tomorrow I will pull apart the block and make sure everything is in good order to install everything.

          Did you ever build this engine? really interested how the k20 pistons work out. See a lot of talk about it working but not really finding anyone doing it.

            No, I ended up selling the car. I lost interest in the car itself, still will do the engine build. I still have most of the parts except for the cam and ecu.
