Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    suggestions on my setup

i would like to have comments and suggestions about my next summer set-up.I would like to make a least 200 whp.

    h22a4 01 not sh
    h22a4 01 manual tranny
    type s pistons
    chipped p28 ecu
    skunk2 intake manifold
    clutch ACT 4puck with springs
    pressure plate prelude type s
    flywheel fidanza 8lbs
    fuel rail str
    fuel pressure regulator
    cam gears adj volution

but i hesitate on some points

I what to mill the head a little bit maybe 0.10mm Would it be not enought?
Should i put cams ? I was thinking type s cams.
    I need obd1 injectors cause i have 290cc injectors .Should i put 345cc or RC 370?
    Do i need a header? I don't want to buy a rmf header.What alternative did i have?

feel very comfortable to tell what you think.

eh dual=more weight, just has one more camshaft and gear plus vtec. You can build a sohc with that much money your putting into a h22, but hey thats my own opinon.

Everything sounds good, but why use a type S pressure plate if you are using act 4 puck clutch? I would use all ACT clutch component because down the road the type s pressure plate won't hold.

Aftermarket fuel rails are useless until about 500whp. However, that's just me. I think for the most part you are going in the right direction. If you get yourself some cams, you will need to recalibrate your ecu regardless which set of cams you choose. For me cams would have came earlier, but it is a lovely addition to any setup, turbo (in my case) or N/A.

if i paid 50 bucks for the str fuelrail what do you think ?
I got a pressure plate of type S and I think it's better than the USDM i got. This is why i'm planning on using that one

You might make 200 whp with that but If you would buy a good custom header SMSP,ANR,RMF etc You should surely make 200 whp

instead of the skunk 2 i would def look at dhracings intake mani/thoutle body combo, i never really cheaked out the skunk 2 but still pretty shure this is a better choice dhracing

If you want to discuss how much of a mill you need to reach a desired compression ratio, hit me on AIM (Accord EX SE).

I need the block you plan to use, what internals you plan to use and the piston CC (of your choice of pistons) basically to calculate it for you.

Thats not enough for 200whp. But I do believe if you build the topend with some stage three cams from skunk 2 with normal bolt ons you can reach your hp goal. The quickest way to do it is nitrous but not everyone is comfortable with that.

I think it is going to take more then that... You should also build your head... The guy a couple posts above wasn't telling you to use the USDM pressure plate, he was telling you to go get a ACT pressure plate..

Without knowing his compression ratio, we cannnot assume he is not close to 200whp already. He has Type-S pistons which create a 11.0 CR in the Type-S motor. That type S motor makes 220bhp and around 180whp. AFAIK, the cams and the pistons were the difference that helped to generate 40 more bhp. However the cylinder head CC depth is also a key factor. I am not sure if they are different in any way. If so the CR of your setup is different from that of a Type-S motor. Another possibility is the cylinder head of the Type-S may flow differently.

My suggestions are mostly Induction mods:
                    Cams
                    Throttle Body
                    Intake Manifold
Exhaust Manifold (A really good one, not some DCS manifold)
A PnP on the Cylinder head
If you engine does not have it already, the 345cc injectors with matching ECU.

At that your motor will be pretty much a lightly modded Type S motor which is very well capable of reaching 200whp without much modification.

Primo has most of these mods on his Type-S motor and I am sure he is putting out over 200whp.

                      ^^^ thanx for the reference, but i have a jdm H22 non-type S
probably, more like hopefully, i am close to the 200whp range with what i'm running now. i'll find out after i finally swap in the vtec tranny come late jan. and get some dyno times.

M4TH13U - the list of mods you have planned look good so far. going with type-S pistons will bump up the CR and you may not have to mill the head unless you want a higher CR(correct me if i'm wrong); along with some aggressive camshafts from skunk2, webcams, etc.. and good tuning, the 200whp can be easily obtained.

Primo, you changed the valve cover then. I could have sworn you had a red one.

i figure i may not have type-S motor, but my built H22 runs just as good if not better.. plus i like red

first the engine is at the shop pistons are being install and a port & polish job in work. For the CR i dont know what to do i'm putting type s pistons that are 11:1 CR but i want to boost these to 11.5:1 buy milling the head. But i don't plan to upgrade valvetrain or install some cams this year. But i will see.

secondo i have a 01 so the injectors are 290 obd2 someone of my club have a 00 h22 in a coupe 91 same thing as me and he use the 290cc injectors but removed the injectors resistors. Should i do the same thing as him or should i go with the 345cc.And he's doing 14.7 with some bolts-on.So i asume it shoul work for me. what do you think guys
