Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.


The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.


For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.


Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

    Help me Decide

    Ok ive been searchin for about an hour and i dont have all the info for some reason i feel like im travelling in circles , Down at the shop i have a f22a4 and a f22b2 Both I Can have and build but i dont know what one would be better , im not turbo'ing but im going to port&Polish head and intake , custom grind cam , basically all N/A So is there any benefit for either one they are bar blocks im going to take apart and build soo let me know any differences that you know of thanks in advance

    Go with the A4, no brainer... especially since you're building. You might also run into issues with the P/S mount bracket bolt points, and the driver's side motor mount/bracket (if you use the F22B2).

        The blocks are basically the same... just fyi...

        The only real difference is in the head...

        The F22bx SOHC heads have evil port geometry so on that alone I'd say avoid that head like the plague...

        But keep the block... it'll be nice to have a spare shortblock just in case.

          Sorry i never responded i kinda forgot about this thread cause tearing the motor apart i realized it has a burnt valve anyways and im not going to build that f22b im going to build the f22a4 I Had already dismanteled ,, thanks for the input though and thans Zigen i will remember about that head situation for future reference ,,,
