Please DO NOT Post In The General Section

From this point on until otherwise briefed, posting in the general section of Performance Tech is prohibited. The only thing to remain here will be the stickies. We would just delete this section, but that would cause unintended results.

The majority of the threads created can appropriately be placed in one of the Performance Tech sub-forums or Technical; and the posting of them here is detrimental to the activity of said forums. If you have any questions about where you need to place your thread PM me or one of the other mods.

For the most part you all have caught on without this post, but there have been a few habitual offenders that forced me to say this.

Everyone will get a couple of warnings from here on out, after that I just start deleting threads.

Again if you have any questions, PM me or one of the other mods.

    bottom end

Here soon I'm gettin a custom grind cam, springs, retainers, cam gear from bisi. All for my nitrous build. I ran a 125 shot on my old motor for 5 months before it blew. The head gasket and Im gaskit blew warpin the head somin fearce. I know with this set up thw head will be fine I'm woried about my bottom end. Will she hold together with this shot?

Well I'm no pro but I wasn't aware honda engines could take that big of a shot safely on a stock bottom end, but again I'm not a pro..

It had a rebuild 2000 miles ago. But the arp studs are a good idea

ARP would be a must. That will hold that HG in place. 2000 mile f22a will hold 125 shot. It will do damage on the long run..... I say go for it, get it tuned "right", and be checking compression every 2 months or so.... DD? or?

Yea dd. Bisi is cuttin me a custom cam between a stage 1 and 2.3. So during the week ill have a all motorish tune but on the weekends ill be having fun so spray will be used. Soon. It will be a multi port throttle activation shot, 75 on the street, 125 on the strip.

So let me get this straight... I'm all worried about running a simple 75 shot untuned and this guys running a 125 on I'm assuming a stock style rebuild untuned?

Don't take one situation and accept it as absolute truth. The "success" he may have could doom your own personal project. I wouldn't run more than a 75 shot on any stock motor WITH a tune. On a completely untuned motor I wouldn't go for more than a 35-50 shot. But that's just me. Nitrous is a gamble, unless the motor is properly built to handle it.

I'm probably not gonna run more than 50-60 even with a tune because the idea of a 75 shot still has me nervous. I have a very established engine builder with years of experience in the nitrous game helping me with my build so he's gonna make sure im at least decently safe til I get my tune.
