Installing Nitrous this weekend

Yeah like the title says i will be installing a ZEX dry kit this weekend on my H22. I have jets for 55, 65, and 75 shots. since it is a dry kit and i dont have adjustable cam gears yet to retard my timing properly i will probably go with the 55 since it doesnt call for any timing adjustment.

but first i will be installing my new chipped P28 from phearable.net but purchased from a member here on the forums. and i will be re wiring my engine wiring harness.

lol dude weve been getting the same mods you got h22 i got h22 i got h23 tranny u got jipped for an h23 tranny i got a phearable ecu with a horrible basemap your gonna blow up your engine with the phearable basemap im getting a nitrous kit you got a nitrous kit who blows up thier motor first?!

i already have the ZEX universal honda plugs. i am going to get the ECU tuned before spraying though i wont mind my motor dying from spray as long as it isnt totaled since i will start picking up my build parts next month. who knows maybe i wont spray until after the build but i got the stuff already to do it lol

as for nitrous u retard the ingition timing-not the cam timing. for the 55 shot u will not need to use colder plugs.

thanks for the input. the nitrous is on hold for the moment while i am trying to get the ECU problem taken care of. I have the kit sitting in my car but not hooked up yet.

Im getting anxious for my h22 and then Zex , If I bouight the whole motor with Trans and ECU , isnt it as if im running a zex on a prelude all i need is colder plugs and a few degree timing pullled right ?? I keep hearing everyone needs to tune there ECU , well I bought the motor with the ECU thats stock so i wont need a tune or will I ???

the reason everyone says you need to tune your ECU is so that you get the most power possible from your nitrous. if your fuel and timing are not adjusted your gonna get power but not as much also there is a chance of detonation which could lead to an engine blow. if you get your ECU tuned for nitrous it will run alot better on nitrous. my problem right now is that I dont have a wideband 02 yet so i cant tune my car i can only go by guess work with the maps I have been burning for my car. It is running alot better but it feels like it is leaning out at 7200 + RPMs (i say this do to a drop in power at high RPMs) anyways the ZEX kit is a good kit because it takes alot of the strain out of using nitrous with their little control box. I was hoping to have it installed by now but I am working 7 days straight and packing to move this coming weekend. but the good thing is i will have a place to work on my car where I am moving to.
