    Lowering springs question.

If I purchase lowering springs for my 90 accord, Can I put them on my factory strut or do I have to buy a certain type of strut for this setup? Or will it blow my strut for being at that lower position? Thanx in advance for your help.

it is very highly recommended to replace your original struts with new aftermarket QUALITY ones. and how low will your springs drop you?

It will also ride way better with proper lowering struts.

When you add lowering springs to your stock struts, your struts are compressed so that they are ready to rebound all the time which causes the bouncy ride. Also, depending how low the drop is, you can bottom out your struts which over time will cause them to blow.

I learned about all this junk with static drops on minitrucks. Adding proper struts/shocks make a world of a difference in safety and ride quality.

This accord I had just purchased from the previous owner had cut the springs. I bought it for $125, It didnt run. The body is straight and the guy bought a bunch of engine parts to hopefully get it to run and could'nt. It was the dist. Which I had an extra one lying around. I think its been dropped atlest 1.5 to 2 inchs. Its pretty low. You have to be carefull when going over speed bumps. I know that two of the struts are blown. Im curently working on getting the suspension on my 92 prelude up to par. So it will be a bit before I can work on m y accord.
