    Megan Vs. Tein

i was looking for a full coilover on www.modacar.com and found the megan racing coilover for 859.00 and the tein basic coilover for 866.00 i've read about them both but don't know which ones would be better? i want to drop the rear 2.25" and 1.75" in the front. does anybody have these coilovers that could help me deside?

Megan will be stiffer and will be able to go lower.
Tein will be softer, but still get you to a 2.25" drop.

I have Megan Streets. The ride is stiff but it's not as stiff as Ksports. Only problem I had with them is that I couldn't lower the car as much as I wanted. However, I think the max drop you get out of these is for performance reasons. If you "modify" to go lower it defeats the purpose of the system.

have you done your research. form and functions are around the same price range. u might beable to find d2's as well if your lucky. fnf arent as stiff as megan but stiffer than tien. i think they are more comfortable than tien because tien bounces your ass too much with its softness. fnf is firm ( not soft and not harsh ). D2's are going to be really stiff prob around the k sport range but they are a good coil none the less at a reasonable price. i was looking to get megans for the longest as well but i then did the research and found that a different coilover was the one for me .

well i find the stock setup very bouncy so i want something fairly stiff for a deasent price. i like the megan cause of the 32 levels of damping and they are red to match the theme i'm going for

Don't let that 32 levels of damping fool you. The resolution isn't there. What I'm saying is you won't feel a difference between clicks, unless its a difference of several clicks. In reality, there's probably only a range of 5-8 settings you can actually feel a difference.

Also, you should NEVER buy any thing for your suspension based on its color.

Teins are softer, Megans are stiffer and go lower, and they have custom rates available. Both have a so-so damper quality, but Megans are made in the USA...
There are no black and white suspension answers!!!!!!!!!!!

i would have it set in the middle and i'm going to be changing the ride hieght often so it will prob be slammed sometimes..and i'm not really picking it because of the colour..thats just a bonus

If you want to be slammed with Megan Streets keep in mind that you will have to mess with the coilover assembly. (I.E. You have to take the collars off, put preload on the spring, or droop the spring.) This might make changing ride hiegths a PITA. You also want to avoid messing with the assembly.
