Tie rod jam nut??

im ashamed to ask this but feel helpless.. despite already changing my lef ttie rod, i cant remember for the life of e which direction to break the jam nut from the tie rod end...

ive searched and searched, but now i need to do this ASAP

They both thread in from the right... So left. They are not reverse threaded.

to remove the jam nut you need to tighten it so it goes in towards the inner tie rod the loosen the outer rod

loosening the jam nut actually brings the nut towards the outside of the vehicle in turn making it tighten on the the outer rod

yes but in this circumstance tightening the jam nut is actually loosening it from the outer tie rod
