Just lowered, bottom of my car is getting murdered

Well I love the appearance of my lower cb but the bottom of it is getting jacked up! The oil pan, exhaust pipe, mounts, etc. are getting pretty scratched from getting out of my drive way alone.
My question is can i protect those in some way or raise the front by .5 or so inches to stop the damage without getting new springs?
My dad wants to cut the oem springs and i was like NOOOOOOOOO.
    Thanks!

In one word NOPE this is a risk you take when you lower your vehicle if you love how your car looks lowered then leave it lowered but learn how to drive the car with your suspension and avoid dips, bumps, potholes etc as well as learn how to drive up and down from driveways beside going down the center of them. if you have lowering springs then no ther isnt a way for you to rase the car up .5 inches, if you want to have the option of being able to raise your car .5 or lower your car 3 inch then get coilovers since that gives you more options on lowering and raising your car

Well I do go through my drive way side ways i guess its just to steep. Can anything be seriously damaged if it does keep scratching the bottom? Thanks

pretty much all that you stated in your first post on this thread. But the main concern is the oil pan, if that cracks open, your oil will flood out and you'll need a new one before its drivable. So either get coilovers or a bit longer springs like eibach pro kit or eibach sportline. prokit lowers 1.2 all around and sportline is 1.8 all around.

the one main part under the car that will make the most damage if damged would be the OIL PAN for obvious reasons because if that cracks oil will go everywhere except the engine. second would be your header but those mainly get bent i havent heard of anyone breaking them .

the serious damages mainly occur when your driving at high speeds and hit a bump or something that will put enough force to brake your oil pan or bend your header.. i suggest when you drive to make sure you keep an eye on the ground so you can avoid those obstacles. if it keeps scratching it wont right away damage i know this because i have scratches under my car but like everthing if everyday you scratch the bottom one day it will eventually thin out the metal causing it to crack open..

have you looked under your car to see exactly what is getting scratched? i doubt its your oil pan since i dont think your that low to hit that but check and let me know

Mine's low but I never hit the oil pan ever, just take a look under there you're just probably hitting your exhaust or tow hook.

You CAN raise your car a little bit by buying some spring locks. That's how people with huge wheels do it..

then you end up with dead coils on the spring and thats asking for a harsher ride

I have never hit my oil pan. Tow hook, crossmember, tranny, exhaust, frame yes. But never tow hook.

It is a harsh learning curve, but once you get the hang of driving low you will be amazed at where you can drive with no clearance.
