It's regular, and they're usually on pretty damn tight. Impact us usually used. Once in a blue, people get lucky with a breaker bar and steel pipe.

That's the only way I've taken them off. Actually I use a 1/2" ratchet instead of a breaker bar to keep it from swiveling. Done it many times. And never broken a Craftsman rather doing it either!

I just removed mine the other day

The impact was not capable of doing it on either wheel

On the right side the nut had to be cut off carefully.

On the left side i used a 3 foot breaker bar and stood on it. I only weigh 105 but it still worked luckily.

You better put some steak, fish, eggs, and a shit load of pasta and potatoes in your diet.

The axle nut is definitely regular. All I've ever used is my craftsman breaker bar. I've broken it once and it was on the swivel part you put the socket on. If you're really having trouble double check the spot that gets indented in to prevent the nut from working itself out. If you're taking the nut off by hand it's important. If you're using a nice impact that indent makes no difference.

I bought my car from the original owner and she always had the car serviced at a Honda dealer. The first time I tried taking the nuts off, the driver side nut snapped two craftsman breaker bars and one no-namer breaker bar (probably because I had an 8' metal square pipe attached to the end trying to break the nut loose.

Since I was putting new brakes on while the nut was off, I ended up drenching it several times for two days with WD40, so it would soak in. Seemed to break loose after sitting for a couple days.

if you are not using an impact gun give the nut and axle end a couple whacks with a hammer, the vibration can help break the corrosion.

Broke two 1/2" Craftsman breaker bars with a 4 foot pipe. So stepped up to 3/4" breaker bar from habor freight with a 4' pipe. Also used the car jack trick on the breaker bar head.

I weigh 260lbs and it took big 3 bounces with all my weight before it broke loose. The right side was fortunately a lot easier.

That thing is a bitch too get off. I got pissed off because my skinny ass wasnt enough to break it loose with a pipe and breaker bar so I ended up calling a buddy over with an impact gun and got it off that way. Best of luck with what ever you do.

One thing to add, make sure the locking metal material on the nut is bent out of keyway on the end of the axle. This step can easily be overlooked and make that nut a heck of a lot harder to break loose (from experience).
