have someone bounce up and down while watching the top hat. It can be that you didnt tighten it down enough.
Also it can be the upper control arm bushings. What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.
You got to respect what you drive, and appreciate what you have, making the best of what you got. and if that means putting CAI, HID's, a phat stereo system, and a idiot in the drivers seat...then so be it!

Id still look at it, dont assume that its correct. Perhaps that the spec is correct but the new hardware and new rubber you got in there still was very hard and not broken in. By the time you drove it around it flexed enough to require re-torquing.Originally posted by CB7 R3ason View Postthe tophat bolts that attach to the strut to the chassis have torqued down to specs now the nut that hold the spring in the tophat i tighted down as far as i could because i cant get a torque wrench on it also the upper control arms have been replaced with oem replacment and have also been torqued down to specs i will check them in the morning anything else i need to check.....and thanks
Did this happen before the install began? What makes me laugh about forums, is that no matter how much you try to help someone, they dont take the advice. Go ahead and do it the hard way.

No it didnt make a sound with stock suspension... i took off the strut and it looks like the spring twisted when installed its not in is seat and i think thats the problem.... also yes it is new rubber bushings so you might be right im going to take it apart and put it back together also note the tophats im using did not come off my car i didnt want to half to take my stock ones apart so im using JY tophats....

well took the strut apart put it back together and put it on the car and stil squeaking and to make matters even worse the other side is now squeaking i think it is the top hats themselves along with the rubber seat that goes into the tophat i might buy new ones cause every thing is new except the tophats and the rubber seat..... im going to use my original top hats and seats first before buying new.....
