    96-00 integra struts???

Hey guys! I'm curious on if struts from a 96-00 integra will fit our cars? Keeping our top hats and using megan sleeves or something. I just need too know if the struts would fit. Thanks!!

No and that isn't even the right year range. They were made 94-01.

as long as they fit in the cb7 forks, it will work. i think dc2 forks might be too narrow for our front LCA's but i could be wrong, and if i am then use DC2 forks.
its best to get struts that are made for the cb7 though.

Well I know that civic struts fit the front and are an inch shorter. But I got a buddy that has a cd5 that are using struts from a 96 integra and eBay coil overs and it rides nice. He said its because the integra struts are shorter and don't bottem out. I know someone selling koni yellows for a 97 integra so I'm curious if its worth it

they DO NOT fit. Accord only, 92-95 civic/94-01 integra. I dont know why every few months or so a question like this comes up. Do your research. Just cause someone has done it doesnt mean its right and safe

I can't find it anywhere, someone saying they fit. I believe yellows would be plenty safe

they are not designed for these cars. they are designed for integras which are 10% or more lighter than our cars, and the two applications more than likely have a widely different motion ratio (ratio of wheel travel vs. shock travel). you might as well put on suspension from a ford escape or dodge neon if it bolts up. you would have NO clue what you were going to come out with unless you found out all of the specifications and did the engineering yourself.

Damping force is NOT solely dependent on mass (of your Integra). It is proportional to velocity times the damping coefficent of the damper (the Koni Yellow or any damper for that matter). And the initial velocity seen by the damper is dependent on the spring/mass/force combination (square root of spring constant divided my mass). So, the velocity that the damper sees is only dependent on the result the spring/mass/force combination. If the shock has a sufficient damping coefficient to "keep up" with the spring/mass combination than it will work. Its all about velocity, period. No matter what car you think it was "engineered for". After that said, find out what the damping coefficient is. I'm not claiming the Integra Koni Yellow is the same as the Accord Koni Yellow, just check before making accusations about its capabilities. If its similar to the one designed for a cb, fits, and gives you more shock travel when lowered, go for it. I would call and ask for the damping specs though. I guess my point is, don't not put something on your car just becuse it wasn't "designed" for it. HX35 diesel turbos and Civic ECU's weren't designed for our cars, but they work safe and reliably when used properly.

i'm aware of all of that, I was trying to make it easier to understand for the members that didn't go to engineering college. my statement stands, "you would have NO clue what you were going to come out with unless you found out all of the specifications and did the engineering yourself."

for all I know, integra shocks are such a perfect match for our cars that they cup your balls when you take a corner, but not having both suspensions in front of me with mapping and simulation software, there is no way i would recommend a setup not specifically designed and sold for our cars.
