    Eibach springs

Hey everyone at the yard today something caught my eye
    What I found were
2 front Eibach springs (138670) - (4011.201) printed on the front
    1 rear Eibach (142314) - (411.102)
My question is are these decent springs as far as quality?
And I'm trying to Guage the drop
(The rear spring is still on the strut if it helps until I get a pic up. There are 8 tight coils and 4 longer ones)
Thanks pic should be up soon

Did you Google the part numbers? Eibach has always been a quality company.

Are they red or black? The "Sportline" are red and the black are the "Race" models.

I had a set of Eibach Sportlines and after they settled over the year,
it sat about 2 and a half inches lower? Maybe a tad more?
They're a HIGH quality spring, what makes them work better,
is what struts and shocks you combine them with ..

Do a search here on struts and or shocks, and read up on the differences.

They are the black ones.... for now I was going to do what they did and just throw them on the car with the struts I have right now and grab one more rear. I just do not want to put on low quality parts (advertised as high quality). I also was looking for a half inch drop to a inch

        Here is what I have

Obviously I want to upgrade my struts later just wanted to see what people know about these

I wouldn't put those on stock shocks.

Most company's race springs are at least a 2 inch drop if not more.

If You only want a 1/2 inch drop your best bet would be koni yellows on the lowest perch, with stock springs, Drop should be about 15mm, I think.

Other than that You everything other than a coilover setup will drop you more than you want.

I like the look of a lowered accord for sure and plenty of my friends ask me when I am going to drop it. I did go ahead and take a look at the manufacturer website and found it will give the car a 1.2" drop and that seems like a decent drop for me (something mild to where I'm not losing my legend lip on every corner lol)

Safety is always a main concern for all cars and our 4th gens for sure!
Now the car I pulled them off of ran no modifications except for the springs.
My budget is not ready to grab new struts yet. So my thoughts are to install these onto the regular struts (for now) go ahead and get a vigor rear sway bar and get a upper front tie bar for the moment. This is just a daily and I'm not looking to take harsh turns or anything just want to drop the car and retain the steering and possibly improve the current fully stock ex ride

If it means anything I have eibach pro springs on my koni strt's. Ive had them for a year now with 0 problems. Good quality stuff.

Im pretty sure a cheap spring company wouldn't hold a meet in LA every year

The black springs are not the "race" models lol....they are the Pro Kit. Same spring rate as the Sportlines, just less of a drop.

I had Sportlines paired with KYB GR2s as my first setup. While the shocks weren't good enough to handle the drop, the springs themselves were great. They dropped the car right about 2in.

I think I will go and find one more rear spring and replace the stock springs as a whole. what I am interested is the improved ride quality of the car with the upgrade just being the springs, sway bar, tie bar. since the car will have a lower center of gravity I am iterested in how responceive the car will become if any.... and expect a nice ride after the new struts get installed which I pray within a month or two.

There will be no improvement with all that and the stock struts. I put ksport springs on my stock struts when I owned a sunfire (I was also 16 and never looked anything up), well it took corners good but it didn't ride worth a damn. It bounced up and down even the on the flattest roads. I would say get a minimum of koni str.t struts.

^that. STR.T are the cheapest you can go for quality shocks that are made to handle a drop and stiffer springs. If you want more expensive options, you can look at Koni Yellows, Tokico Illuminas, Bilstein HDs, or KYB AGX.

Okay got all four now... finally thought about it and figured I would be doing work twice if I was to put them on the stock struts then replace those later. Like I said I want to do this right so I will now set out to get some new struts. And probably get all the bushings and sway bar links replaced with polly ones while I'm at it.

Hey guys I just put my order in for a set of new koni's

My current stock mounts are obviously old. I know getting the mounts replaced as part ofthe swap but if I have no visibly cracked ball joints can I wait on joints being replaced for a little while like a month or less?

Check play in your wheel. Shake it from the 12 and 6 o'clock positions to check upper and lower ball joint integrity. If you feel a little play, you may want to get them replaced asap. If not, you should be good to go.

Alright cool getting pretty excited for the drop.

I have a EX but for some reason the sway bar is missing and the mounting holes so I just picked up a new tie bar and CL sway bar hope it works out to my advantage
