Info about Tokico Illuminas

Does anyone have this setup on a cb7:

Tokico Illuminas
Tokico Sport Springs (-1.5")

how do you like it? what are the spring rates? and how would this compare to other full coilovers like omni power, tein ss/basic ect?

im new to this accord gen, what headlights are you running? what do the jdm ones look like?

^^^Those are the JDM ones with certain parts painted black and a yellow painted high beam reflector. They are mostly one piece and all clear.

i had the tokico HP (blues) with their drop springs. I loved the comfortable ride but handling was sh*t. better than stock tho but not near full coilover set ups. i dont think this helped ya tho haha

I just bought a set my self I am going to put these onthis weekend and I will let you know how I like them

Finally after a few weeks I installed them tuesday.. Great ride,handles well and looks great...smooth riding just my 2 cents

Im not sure how much the those have in common with the illumina coilover setup.. but I have the coilovers, and have absolutely no complaints or problems. They were on my first sedan, I think I installed them on that one about 2-3 years ago. I drove on the crappiest roads in michigan, did plenty of mileage, and abused them on the autocross course.

They are now on the coupe (in sig) and still doing just great. They have the 5 different dampning settings so I can have it ride better than stock or nice and stiff for autocross events. When I bought them back whenever I did, they didnt come with a warranty since they are intended for off road/race use only, and I was kinda scared. But they still hold up fine to this day.

I have had them dumped as low as they can go, and everywhere in between. They still sell the whole coilover system these days, if the spring/shock combo is anything like the coilovers, i definately reccomend it

ive had the illuminas for about a year now ive always loved the ride and the hanldle feels nice and tight goin around corners i normaly run them set on 3 in the front a 4 in the rear, pritty nice feel on those settings but that just my .02

He was asking because he was going to buy my car which has that setup. He gave me some money but I haven't heard from him in more then a week......wonder if he died on his way over.

i hav the tokico 5 way illuminas strut and spring setup. it rides goodand handles fine, but it isnt low enough i'm about to change springs and try the ground control coilovers so i can hav adjustable damper and springs.

p.s my advice if u r going two get the illuminas get the coilover setup
