    new suspension.

So tommorow is the day... the new suspension is going on the wagon Here is the stuff that i have...

Nex Full Coilovers with upper pillow mounts.

Ingalls Front Camber Kit (doing the washer trick in the back )

Energy Suspension Polyurethane Front Master Kit Bushings.

I also got two cans of PB Blaster to get those bolts out. Ill be working with power tools so that should make the job a lot easier. Front will have the most work since the camber kit, bushings and coilovers are going in. Rear is a quickie with just the coilovers. Im keeping the bushings in a freezer over night which will make their install easier. Any other pointers/comments are welcome. Thanx to all who helped with the research and decision making and feedback

Pics coming of install and finished product

Do you have access to a hydrolik press? you will def need those to get the old bushings AND there metal sleeves out. I was measuring almost ten tons of pressure on the school press. When the finally give its like a gun shot. Be careful where safety goggles and take your time. Also use every last bit of the lube thats provided. Your gonna love the feel driving around town and carving the corners but its pretty annoying cruising the freeway because every single little bump comes thru the steering wheel and if your tires arent balanced PERFECTLY youll notice really fast. Anyways man good luck and again find a press youll definatly need one. Alot of people think they can burn the bushings out which you can but when i talked to ES they said that the metal sleeve also needs to come out necessitating the use of a press. Have fun and let us know!!

nice setup up youll have. how low do you plan on going? i used to have that camber kit and i was only lowered around 2-2.5" and i would bang the control arm constantly over speedbumps. i had to get the arms shaved down. you might not have that problem depending on how stiff the nex's are... i know now i dont have a problem, but im also running the omni sports, so that helps.

btw, what are the spring rates on those?

i already considered the problem of the controll arm banging. ill do a combo of shaving it down and cutting some of the fender wheel well. I had the spring rates somewhere so ill try to find them. One thing i know is that the number is high so they are stiff but i thing the shock dampening (sp) is a lot softer which gives you a great balance on the road.

cool good luck. How many washers are you planning on running in the back to shim up the control arm?

                        small update in...

as for me i always run into a small problem even doin simple stuff. well after my own mechanic screwed me over and wasted my time when i asked him to press out the old bushings from the controll arms...never did anything. I found a cool guy at a local monroe muffler shop who helped me out. believe it or not hydraulic press is not the best thing to press out the bushings. We dried the press but were afraid of bendind the arm and bushing was burned it there. what to do?? burn the sucker out we got a torch and heated the rubber so much the we were able to push them out with a screw driver. next thing was that in order to put in the energy bushings u MUST remove the rings. Again we cut them a bit with a jigsaw and heated untill red and then hit them with a flathead and a hammer till it came out. (We used a shop torch that heats to 2000 degrees in a min not a small home depot one) One thing you will have to buy for the NEX rear struts is a selflockin nut for the bottom fork bolts. The stock strut has a bolt welded onto it - the NEX does not so u need something there. Hopefully everything will be done 2day before i go to work. Pics coming when done
