    Anyone have Koni Red's?

I have some 400/300# coilovers and I wanted to get the Red's...I think they're adjustible and since Koni is the GOD shock brand I was wondering if the Reds would be any good. What other non-Koni-Yellow shocks would be good for 400/300# and a ~2" drop?

The Red's are adjustible on compression (I'm guessing) whereas the Yellows give you height and compression. I think I'm just gonna email Koni.

I believe yellows have a better level of dampening as well

plus with reds you have to have them off the car to adjust the rebound...you have to push and turn the whole strut itself

with yellows they're externally adjustable at the top of the strut

Check out Tanabe coilover's also, just for shits if your strong into the Koni. B/c Tanabe makes a great set of c/o that can adjust up to 3 inches.

that's exactly right... i have koni reds w/ tanabe gf's. I used to have em with h&r race springs and they rode soooooooooooo sweet. I swapped for tanables only b/c i was sick of dealing w/ camber issue.
definatly a good strut but if you plan on autocrossing I would prefer the yellows b/c the level of dampening on the yellows are definatly better.

I sent Koni an email saying I had 400/300# springs and was wondering what shocks to get...they said the Reds would be fine for my setup; I'd just have to turn them halfway up or to the second level (out of 3 I believe). For anyone who's wondering, they also said the Red's at full stiffness= the Yellows at 1/2 stiffness...
