coilover help?

alright. i dont have the money for the compressor and i dont have the time or the gas(damn prices)to go back and fourth to the skool. does anyone know how to do it in the driveway or if there is a DIY on it i would really appretiate it.

Im getting coilovers friday. im going to put them on stock struts. Im going to do it in my driveway but i dont have spring compressor. What can i do to get the spring of safely?

go to autozone or pep boys or something,,, you can rent them for like a deposit or something i think

hhaah who needs spring compressors. lol.....i used my friends two hands while i stood on it.....shot into a box lol hey all the peices were still there and no one got hurt lol just freaked out lol. but yea if u can get a spring comporessor get it.

I just take them off facing away from me into my garage or something...nothing ever flew off. I'd get the compressor though (even though it's a fucking pain in the ass to use). Good luck.

u could compress it with a big rope, but thats just ghetto so just go get a spring compressor so u dont do anything stupid and end up regretting not getting one

thanks guys. i think i'll be taking a ride to my old high school to see if i could use the shop. It has a spring compressor and lifts(wont have to worry as mush as if i was using jack stands). Thanks for the help. This site is fucking awsome and the ppl here are gods! thanks again

ok man listen heres the deal. yes get a spring compresser ,but i know u want to slam your car on some coilovers im under 2 inches and i left my stock struts on and and damn it sucked ass. you need to go to an auto parts store and get some monroe struts if u know somebody really good that works there u should be able to get them for about $130.00. i did at oreilly's. if u lower your car more than 2''. i whould strongly as vise it. and thats 4 all 4 of them with a lifetime warranty im u can get some tekico but if u got the money.


i put some areospeed on my 2dr accord and they have been on there 4 about a year and and when i put them on i bounced everywhere i went even the slightest bump and yesterday and today were putting the new struts back on the bump stops back on and my coilovers switched around. but trust me and ask the other guys about it.


Oh and try to have u and one other person help u.
