    Harsh vibration at high speeds

So as I previously posted, I just swapped everything out and am loving it, but still have a couple things that I need to take care of. Right now, I'm feeling a harsh vibration coming from the front driver's side at higher speeds (80-85mph). I'm gonna try balancing my tires and see if that helps any, but I'm sure theres's more to it than just that. I remember when my bearings went out on me on the passenger side, I started to develop a similar vibration, so I'm thinking that can be a culprit as well. Could bad ball joints or bad control arms be the cause of this as well?

My biggest concern is that fact that this car has 232,000 miles on it and I'm sure some of the suspension components are due for repair anytime soon. And I'd like to get to them before something breaks on me. Thanks.

i would start with the tires and bearing....after that then look into suspension.
Struts, control arms, ball joints, etc.

Most likely the tire is off balance. I had the same problem with my old bronze ex rims, the car would rattle and vibrate hard when I got up to top speed. I swapped on a set of 17s that where laying around the shop and now nothing. No vibration or anything, except you can hear/feel the wheel bearing vibrating from it getting ready to break.

i doubt that its the actual arms or anything..my car had almost 300,000 and i didn't have any vibration at all, regardless of speed..i replaced my arms, ball joints and all that, and it still rides super smooth

Well just an updated diagnosis on my situation...

Today on my way home from school, I realized that the harsh vibration isn't present all the time, but when I'm going over uneven surfaces. I'm thinking that leaves wheel balancing out as the problem, and from experience, when the wheel bearings are going out, the vibration is present most of the time. And my struts are brand new, and I had an AGX break on me before and felt much worse. So now I'm left clueless once again, wanting to blame control arms and ball joints.

            Someone help me...

How exactly do you check tie rods?

Lift the vehicle, grab hold of the wheel, and try to move it back and forth. It the components are bad the wheel will move.
It really is a labor of love making a neglected CB7 with "normal wear and tear" into something worth being proud of.

since when do we have upper and lower tie rods?

                        and only one ball joint?

                            Update...

So I had a chance to take the tire off and check out the suspension this weekend. I made sure everything was nice and tight, and visually, everything looked fine, until I looked at the shock. There was oil dripping down the body and on the shaft. Not again!! I'm going to have to blame the shitty coil-overs I had on here before. Although I was lucky enough to get the last one replaced, I know I'm gonna have to cough up the dough for this one...

I guess at least it wasn't more serious...
