    Stiff Suspension

I am currently running the D2 coilovers right now, as stiff as they will go, and its not stiff enough for me! Ive also owned Tein SS which were waaaaay to soft! I want a coilover that if I have the dampening turned all the way up will be almost too stiff. Ive heard the Omni Power Sport coilovers are pretty stiff are there any other quality coilovers that are extremely stiff??

you can always buy swift coilover replacement springs and just choose the spring rate you want. you can still keep your coilover setup. they just replace the spring portions of your coilover. www.swiftsprings.com.

I dont think my springs are the problem. I think its the struts.

You can check the dyno graphs for various setups on the site. If you learn how to read them it should show you which will give the stiffest ride.

From what I heard Ksports and D2 are pretty much the SAME exact coilover one just made in a different center and renamed with diff colors. I know the D2 spring rates are higher than any other coils I've seen.

ps. I've got the d2s but havnt installed them yet. Do you have a copy of the instructions for them you could fax or scan them? Mine are kinda actin funky.

Yea I have looked at the "dyno graphs" for the suspension setups and I did find them somewhat hard to read.

I bought my D2's from the same guy that I bought the motor from. They are the same as installing any other suspension, if you need help on certain processes let me know and I will help you out.

As for the acting funky part, let me know what you mean... my left driver side coilovers make a harsh popping noise. I took it to a well known honda specialist who narrowed it down to the coilovers. Ive been meaning to email D2 about this but I have no proof of purchase or purchase date. I was thinking about shipping them back to the company and having them rebuild them and see if they can make them stiffer at all.

Cant you order D2's with custom spring rates? Atleast thats what I thought when I was looking at them, there were like 10 choices in spring rates. Just get different D2 springs and it will be stiffer.

Yup they are like 560 or something like that and seem pretty stiff. I wouldn't even attempt them with anything other than Konis. I am currently on the Skunk2/Koni setup and love it. Feels like a more streetable S2k to me. I will be posting a review on them soon.
Personally though, I would try swapping out springs on your existing coilovers. Only thing is, if you swap out to higher spring rates, you might need your shocks revalved to take into account the higher spring rate. Might want to speak with a representative for the brand coilovers you currently run and go from there.

I think that would definitly be a downgrade from D2s

If the D2's have adjustible shocks, there should be no problem with a spring upgrade, unless you're getting 1000# springs...
