    Help! rear too low.

Hi, I ;m having trouble with where to put the sleeve. U all know how the rear strut for a cb7 is different from the front. the front ones have that ledge for the coil sleeve. but the rear one don and it have a 2 inches deep from the ledge that only the stock coil can sit on. but now that the coil sleeve is in there I lose at least two inches to dop or raise. I could try putting the sleeve up, but I'm worry that it won't hold with just the rubber and those little screw. Right Now I raise it up the the max but it still too low cause the sleeve in that hole. Please help or at least explain how to set the back up, your ways. Thanks

have no idea what coil over sleeves you have but did you compare all 4 to see if 2 of them were taller..i had no such problem with mine. but i have kyb agx i dont know if that is the difference.

its like nothing in the world. definition of relaxation.

Yea the rear sleeves should be a bit longer than the front to make up for where the sleeves drop down into the strut. But if I remember right when I had mine, the sleeve just rested in the the dropped down inside around the strut body, since the sleeve is too slim to sit upon the strut spring perch...
Heres a pic of my old GC coilovers, showing the rear and notice the extra space where its not threaded, this is what helps out with the problem your having.

Also dont be afraid to move the coilover perch up to give you the desired ride height, if you have the on perch with the screw (like mine were) then just hand tighten the screw...or if you have the kind with the two perches, just twist them towards each other, and that will hold.
