    First Timer Lowering A Car

Ok So I have a set of Intrax Lowering Springs I got brand new for like fifty bucks. They are 2.25 in drop. I would really like to try to do this tomorrow. What are some parts I might need and do need to perform this swap properly? I only have one car and once its apart i gotta put it together just to go to the parts store. Also can i get away without using kyb shocks on these? And lastly are there any tips or tricks i should know? Thanks.

I'd say you are pushing the camber limits at 2.25. What conditions are your stock shocks in? Oh, and just so you know, KYB GR2s are more of a stock replacement not an upgrade. Try Koni Yellow or Tokico Blues for the best ride. Regarding a camber kit. I would wait until the springs settle. See how the cars feels/rides and check the camber. It will be obvious if you need a kit.

the stock shocks are in really good condition, but i do plan on upgrading them as well. Is intrax a decent brand to go with until i get coilovers?

With a 2.25" drop, you are certainly going to want to cut your bumpstops. Otherwise it will ride like crap because you have just about 1" of suspension travel, and you are going to spend a lot of time bouncing off of your bump stops.

Depends on the springs. Neuspeed race springs drop 2.2" but the instructions say to keep the bumpstop normal.

Even on Nuespeed race, I cut them a bit.

The CB7 sport instructions I have seen, don't specify that they work with the stock bumpstops, although they don't need to be cut as mine weren't.

Oddly, the Civic instructions do specify not to cut them.

Every Nuespeed race equipped Accord I have seen had them cut a little bit. They all rode like stock with no bouncing. No bottoming into the chassis either.

I'm on neuspeed race with stock bumpstops. The ride is alittle harsh and bottoms out. I think I'll buy a 2nd pair of bumpstops and cut them and ride with those. To see how it is.
