    cross drilled or slotted

i was lookin around the WEB, summit.com

and they have power stop and some other brand

either crossed drilled or slotted or both.

from wat i read about the crss and slotted 2gether,

they can b weak fron the drilled holes.

but the SLOTTED they say its good cuz ur leasing the gases which u wanna do. ANY 1 have any of these set ups i posted and are they worth it

    thanks josh

Slotted or dimpled or drilled rotors are there to help with brake fade. What is your braking style like? I don't see it being necessary on a DD since the brake pads avaliable today do a good job with brake fade.

Im running Powerslot slotted rotors at all 4 corners with Stillen pads and goodridge stainless braided brakelines. This was a very significant improvement over what was on the car before. I mean stopping distance was cut down drastically. Brake fade is almost nonexistant and there is not "mushiness" in the pedal under heavy braking. Oh yeah they also wear extremely well too, meaning they havent worn practically at all in the 1 year and 25,000 miles i have had them.

Im running Cross Drilled/Slotted rotors on all 4 corners with Stainless braided lines, and with the air suspension, and the chrome wheels, the car stops great. Cant ask for more.

Slotted. I would go with that.

Why do you say neither? Its a vast improvement over stock.

Maybe he is saying neither b/c slotted and cross drilled reduce heat, and with a high performance pad this wouldn't let them heat up... os they wouldn't be effective for DD. Also cross drilled can tear a low quality pad... so it's a must to have good pads. I've heard good things about Hawk, I plan on getting some.

What kind of setup can I expect from hawk and slotted rotors? Or should I stick w/ blank rotors. Any preference on rotors / price / where you got them? I don't have much money but my car shimmy's a ton and my back brakes are out...

I say neither because people just have them for looks.I have seen some of them actually split in half in englishtown, new jersey because of the heat.

slotted seems to work fine here in AZ, I combod them with Hawk pads and they never skip a beat. rotors will run u 120 online and 65 for pads

I agree with you man. I want it not for show as well.

However, I did notice there are many different types of hawk pads. It looked like HPS had the best braking and Ceramic was the quietest? Which would you say is the best or are you using?

The other types looked like they were for racing or heavier cars/trucks.
