    Camber kit options?

Ok, I did a search, but itsaid that it yeilded nothing. So, here goes..

I have recently purchased maxspeed coilovers, and plan on getting either illuminas or agx shocks to go with them. I also will need a camber kit, but there are soo many choices, I wanna get the right one. There is the pivot ball, that relocates the upper control arm, there is a lower control arm relocater type..I might be gettin this all wrong, but I want a reliable kit for my drop, but not spend houndreds of dollars.. Iwant a kit that is around 80 bucks or less..what is the best type? I don't wanna hafta cut my control arm, to keep it from hitting, so what does that leave me?

hate to break it to you chief but to get a good quality camber kit you are going to have to break bread a bit and spend a bit. I bought front and rear ingalls camber kit's for my accord and they cost me about 500(cdn). The front kits cost me about 250 for both sides. The camber kit is not something you are going to want to scrooge out on cause you'll just end up spending more in the long run for things like new tires etc, etc, etc.

    respect. You can't buy it.
You earn it. One run at a time.
You can't talk about it 'cause

Roger is right Swifty .. if you do anything at all .. get a qaulity camber set up..
You're gettin a decent set of coilovers, and spending $$$ for the Tokico's..
why not go the rest of the way? You'll save alotta rubba .. lol

I have the *offset-balljoint* type .. spent 400 for installation and alignment...
the ride is nice and smooth, I've got over a year's use outta the front Falken's
and wear on the rear rubber (which I didnt even touch) is hardly noticeable at all ..
I did *re-align* the rear tho .. I was there .. might as well ..
My springs are Eibach Sports, which I think are a great CB7 compliment..

While we're on the subject .. does anyone know if we can use *both* type of
camber kits .. at the same time ?? A *ball-joint* type as opposed to .. the most common
type engall's ?? Is it even possible ??

      A Hui Hou !!

I plan on droppin it, till the wheel gap is gone..I predict around 2.25-2.5 inches..? I am ridin on 17's, wit 205/4-/17 tires..the other question becomes..driveway clearance, but that is another issue...

as long as u dont have a kit and arent worried about scrapin a lip just a tiny bit.. i wouldnt sweat the clearance

but yeah thats about right 2.5-----should take the gap away

get the coilovers yet or checked tracking recently?
            where they at now?
are you putting them on or getting it done?

man, that shipping service jsut said that they have left the place in WA..nuthing more. So, I got no idea where they are, but I can't wait till I get them. I wanna slap them on right away...you got no idea how badly my car needs a drop. I was thinking about jsut slapping them on, till I blow the stock shocks, then getting some better shocks..sicne, I don't have the moeny for some good shocks right now, and it is not totally terrible for the stock shocks and these springs, being that they are not progressive and all..I also saw at work the other day a guy wit his civic and some maxspeed coilovers, on tokico blues..I have a friend who I jsut put some maxspeeds on, wit tokico blues..I see these springs getting peared up wit these shocks a lot.. Iwonder if it a s good combo, or if the koni yellows illuminas or agx's really are necessary. I gotta fix my A/C, since I will be leaving soon ,for a camping trip, and I don't wanna drive in this state witout it...then I gotta replace my master clutch cylinder and slave cylinder, since my clutch is weak..not to mention I jsut had a year anniversay wit the gf, and the ring and diiner and movie..and flowers..it set me back..lol. So, money is tight at the moment, and I gotta look at all my options..shocks, or no? if so, what kind? what kinda camber kit? etc...

alot of ppl disagree but when it comes to cars im a spur of the moment type of guy, if it seems like its gonna be fun, ill do it
-so if i was you id cruise on the stock shocks and slam the max's on em
then that way if the ride is terrible it will "inspire" you to save money for some agx's or whatever you are gonna pair em wit, got any current pics of your car? Post em if so

P.S. they said the coilovers should be there by wed.

sweetness..thanks man..I just gotta get cash together to put those on at work (the bastards still charge me for it) and fix my a/c, and replace the clutch cylinders, and whatnot..lol camber kit is still up in the air..I don't know..teh bal-joint type, or the type that relocates the upper control arm out? I want the one that I will not need ot cut the arm up for..basically, I wat a straight forward install, sicne no one at work gets this tuff, and no one will eve nhelp wit the coilover install..let alone a camber kit install..and alignment..
