    up off the ground?

Ok Ive got Air bags in now. She sits so low I will kill my side skirts if I pancake it down. At 175psi she stands up way over stock ride height but god forbid I get a leak and end up on the ground with my blended rear bumper and side skirts holding up my car.

So anyone know of a way or product that I can put on my lift points in the unlikely event of line or bag failure? Like a nice solid rubber bushing, I just dont know where to obtain something like this or what to ask for.

I havnt seen customlows around or Id ask him. He gets hella low.

Any ideas? large bump stops off a semi attached to the jack points maybe?

    Thanks everybody!
I cant Slam further. The ground refuses to get any lower.

Some people that i have seen on trucks weld blocks onto the frame or bump stops so when it drops it drops on that instead of hitting the floor or it barely scrapes.

Thats was I was thinking, Anyone here do that? Its basicly laying frame like s10s do I just dont want to be the first trendsetter to bent his car in-half.

Do you think I should do a full bar down the lenght of the car or just at the jack points? Or look for a more forgiving medium like rubber bump stops either on the jackpoints or on the suspension?

the jack points are kind of toward the outer edges of the car. the frame "rails" underneath are kind of soft. a longer solid piece of metal would work fine though. it's a solid rail and as long as a portion at least 4" long hits, i'd imagine that it would be totally fine. should be easy to do also.

where you gonna jack it then?

they'd also be far more visible there, seems like that would be an issue for someone with that much time spent on the appearance of their car.

those are ment for emergency road side repairs not for actualy lifting your car. I had to buy a very expencvie low profile jack just to get under my car... it definatly wont fit under the side skirts to hit the side points those I only use for jack stands after its up in the air.

where would you put those? those are for coil-over type suspension. are you on air-struts, cylinders, or actual bags? if it's cylinders, you could put those on the ram shaft that connects to the suspension mounts, but if it is bags or struts, you cant use those. if you are on bags or struts, just make some drag-blocks like you were suggesting and put them towards the inside of the car, not the jack points. then you can hang with the mini-truckers and shoot sparks right along with them. i want to either do that with my accord or buy an s10 like a guy offered to sell me and back-half it.

probably the best thing you can do is just get a AAA membership with up to three pickups a year. i have one, and have used it twice.

so the jacking points are meant for roadside repairs ONLY in alaska?

the proper place to lift it up off the ground are those jacking points, says so in the car's documentation and putting a lift under it anywhere else will cause something to bend. the frame underneath is much weaker than those specifically reinforced jacking points.

if you're jacking it up anywhere else, you're jacking it up in the wrong spot.

bet there is bent metal underneath

fuck, just lift it up if you don't wanna play the game.

when you lower shit, it sits closer to the ground and things get fucked up. 'tis life. the reason everyone doesn't use airbags is because of the myriad of drawbacks associated with them.
