Nissin Or Akebono

93 SE 2 Door Coupe does anyone know if the caliper is Nissin or Akebono to dam cold out to jack up the car and take the tire off.

Most/very likely Nissin calipers up front as all the coupes I've known have had them. All our sedans have Akebono front calipers. I haven't run into any Accords that differ from this statement yet.

i know mine are Nissin (90-91 coupe ex) .. the nissin calipers have an engraved label on them, take off a wheel and wipe off all the break dust off the caliper, if it's NISSIN u'll find the engravement.. i'm not sure if akebono would be the same. . but it it's not nissin.. then it must be akebono

The Nissin ones say 'Nissin' on the caliper, while the Akebono ones have a weird triangular symbol on them. Try looking thru the spokes if possible. Alternately if you're brave enough it only takes 5 minutes to pull a tire off and put it back on.

Dang, thats the first sedan to have them, unless they arent from the factory, and were replaced sometime down the road.

Not that I know of... I was under the impression that it was more random, that there wasn't really a way to tell given the trim or year of the car. The only sure way is to look I guess.

I had thought I read somewhere that all Coupes had Nissin's. I have a 92 EX Coupe(Made in Ohio) that has Nissin's.
