What is "HyperBlack"?

OK, in my searching for new wheels for the Accord, I always fall back to the old faithful of silver wheels, but can someone tell me what exactly the "HyperBlack" color is supposed to be? Has anyone ever gone with that? They look kind of shinny in some of the pictures I have seen, but I can't tell for sure.

I am not a big fan of the gunmetal color, but I think I could like the hyper black with my Seattle Silver car. But does anyone have any on their car in hyper black?

hyperblack is a shinny black rim..gunmteal is an off-black, sorta bronze color. I have gunmetal rims on my black car, so that it doesn't all look the same..subtle differences..

i have hyperblack rims and i think they look like the gunmetal rims...they just call them hyperblack in japan. take a look at mine and see if thats the color you want

I guess that is what confuses me the most. Some manufacturers offer the gunmetal, silver, and hyper-black all in the same style. And some of the hyper-black looks like a black chome, as opposed to a gunmetal. And the ones that look like black chrome, I like. But I am not sure they would look the same in person. And that worries me a little when it comes time to spend the money on them.

By the way, arrozburner, you car looks pretty nice. I like those wheels with you car, but I am still not a big gunmetal wheel color fan for myself. Just my opinion.

thanks and no problem with not liking the color...everyone has there own tastes and if built my car according to other peoples taste then it just wouldnt be me...that and it would be JDM on chrome 19"s with switches and an NA h22...im not really going in that direction

i think there more like the bmw m3 wheels. Like when you look at them a certain way they look like a polished silver and then when you look at them from a differnet angle they look like a gunmetal color.
