I am jux graduating and want to swap my motor to sumtin bg or jux swap my trany. I have an auto f22a6 wit the usual upgrades intake exhaust and intake w/ h23 plenum. Should i do the tranny swap or go F20B tranny and motor? I am farely new to driving a 5spd so i need help deciding and have a low budget.

Well if your gonna do a swap to 5-spd, I'd suggest either F22B or a H22. I've had both of these motors in my car and I know what they feel like. The F22B is from a 95 Accord VTEC and it's got some pickup and its reasonable for price.

if your doing the 5spd conversion id go with the full f20b swap but if your only going to do the tranny, any h22 or h23 tranny will be better then the stock f22 trans

The tranny will work fine, the only thing is if it is an automatic then you should get a matching TCU.

ECUs are tied to engines, so if you change the engine, you will have to change the ECU.

I would NOT recommend the F22B1 (the 94-95 Accord VTEC mentioned above). It is not much of an improvement on the F22A6. However, the F22B (JDM DOHC) is a decent swap.

You might want to look at the Swap FAQ if you have more questions.
