no other honda steering rack will work. ur best bet is to take out all the factory lines and shit. loop everything around and call it a day. if u want to have some fluid in ur lines get a reservior.

      bad news.

so you don't need to have power steering fluid in the rack, you can just leave it dry?

You can convert the rack to a manual rack but it involes some time and patience. Its not that hard to do actually.

power steering racks are meant to have fluid in them. u can leave it dry, but it just wears out faster

Have to take apart the rack and remove the internals from the valve body.

well.. they did offer a manual rack on some of the DX models. But if you don't want power steering just take all the lines off and plug them up and make sure it has fluid in the valve body.

not exactly what i was looking for but will do none the less. so gutting and greasing is my new plan of attack, doesn't look all that complicated. was hoping that something with the "gear assist" would fit, but i guess not. it will still serve its purpose as i'm doing a wire tuck engine bay shave, and i have a leaky power steeering rack as is. so doing this will get rid of all the lines and i'll be able to reseal everything while its apart.
