    Swap progress

Alright guys so i decided to make a swap progress thread to show what im doing what i have bought and how its going..
Im planning on performing the swap starting sometime soon i hope.. im going to post pics and everything of my progress and such
I bought a whole bunch of stuff yesterday so ill make a list of what i have and such..

    items purchased
    F22B DOHC w/auto tranny
    H23 Distributor
    F22B Water pump
    2.5" Cat-back
    Black ceramic coated 4-2-1 headers
F22 Oil pan gasket (Just in case)
    H23 Timing belt
    H23 Spark plug wires
    PB blaster X2
    O2 sensor (Mines out)
    H23 valve cover gasket
96 GSR Timing belt (Better to have two since some say one fits and the other doesn't)
    F22 Balancer belt
    H23 Spark plugs
    De greaser
High temp engine block paint (Silver)
    Oil filter
    Prelude powersteering pressure line

so far im up some where in the vicinity of about $2500 so we will see how much i have into it in the end..
I still have a list of stuff

    Items still needed
    Oil
    Tranny fluid
    Antifreeze
    Axle nuts
    Cotter pins

    Additional items needed
Motor mount inserts (Mine still look good so this may be a last thing)

I will also post up pics here and there when my stuff gets in. Let me know if im missing anything in the parts needed.. Thanks guys

Edit: here is my swap plan. Hopefully i can do this and not run into to many problems.

my plan is that i will get a four day weekend therefore thursday friday and the rest of the weekend off. the shop i am using opens at 9am and closes at 6pm so i will be first in line at 9am on friday and start unplugging and labeling everything and putting stuff in bags and whatnot. What my schedule should be, or more like what i would like it to be is that i have my motor pulled and everything i need swapped over to be done. We will see how that goes. what would be superb is to have my motor 3-pointed (in but nothing connected) by the end of friday. that way saturday i can plug everything back up and fire her up and work out the kinks in the system. kinda have sunday as an overflow day if something is wrong.. the shop is closed monday and tuesday of every week. The shop i am going to use has every part minus some specialty tools.

hey about those timing belts and all the best thing to do would be to buy these there are the real stock parts for the f22b i had so much trouble with my timing belt. so i would take those belts back and get these so there will be no trouble at all and will make things way smoother.
(also i used a 96' gsr belt its the same teeth count and all its just like 1-2mm thickere then the stock belt but thats not an issue so no worries on that.)

well i took off everything from the front like alternator and p/s pump and took all the brackets off so i could try and clean it up and the degreaser isnt working so hot.. Anybody got some ideas??

notice closer to the bottom theres some grease buildup..

Oven cleaner. That and possibly a wire brush.

                  Better yet, polish that block!

haha you're at the same stage I'm at in my H22 swap. Deciding what stuff to replace...I just got it on the engine stand today...its only held on w/ 3 bolts the last one is kinda not in all the way but it works.

I'm doing the T belt, balance belt, W pump, cam seals, and prob. the VCG and all those little top grommets along w/ tube seals possibly, oh and the distributor O-ring since that's prob. original from 93.

....now I just need to find a crank pulley removal tool.

OT: oh hey kai next time you go to the salvage yard i need the little tiny clips that go in where the center vents clip in. the a/c vents. You know the ones that put pressure on them.. i think there are four of them and they are about the size of a dime if not smaller.. my vents flop around

whatever you do, don't waste your time at Autozone or Checker....I already went there tonight and they gave me this stupid kit which doesn't even work for removing the tool....some people are just dense in the head....lol...I told them it needs to be some type of hexagonal tool that hold the crank while the 19mm socket can go in....they looked at me w/ a dumb expression....argh...so frustrating sometimes...I think I'm gonna try Napa or BAP import parts, might as well buy the tool if its cheap enough.
