    F20B Vtec

I'm seriously considering dropping this motor into my CB but I have a couple questions...
Will my F22A tranny work w/this swap or do I need to swap the tranny too?
If I need to swap the tranny which one is best?
Is this a direct swap as far as the motor mounts etc. like the H22a is?
Which ecu would I need for this motor?
Will the header from my F22A fit the F20B?
Any other parts/pieces that I failed to mention please let me know. This swap is at the top of my list right now along w/the H22A but I kinda want to go w/something that isn't quite as common right now like the H swap. This is the 1 I'm thinking about getting...

Thanks man, but I'm too tired to read that whole thread right now. I got like 4 pages into it and still didn't get the answers that I needed. Maybe I should just stick to my F22A and boost it.

Yes the tranny will work, though not recommended. A H22 trans or actual F20B trans is recommended. This is basically a destroked H22 Type S. ECU I have no idea. I'm pretty sure(like 99%) that the F22A header will not work. Like I said before I say you go boost. Pm if you got any more question and also if you want me to make you one of the short shifter adapters too.

If you are too lazy to read, then you will deff be to lazy to swap motor. stick to your single cam.

if u decide to get the engine, just make sure u get the tranny and ecu also. And header should be the same as a h22 since its basicly a h22 head on there.

I get up at a 1/4 to 5a every morning so yeah I'm definitely not lazy, just tired from being up all day since it was almost 10p when I posted this thread. I'm cool with my F22A but it has 253,000 miles on it so it's come down to rebuilding/cleaning it up and keeping it with some go-fast goodies added or else swap it. I know more about the H22 and the F22 than I do about any of the other Honda motors, hence the questions.

Yeah, I know that the F22A tranny will work on the H22A but it wouldn't reach it's full potential without it, just wasn't completely sure about the F20B since it is different.

any H/F trans will work except the f20c s2000 trans, only the H headers will work minus the 97-01 sh header(downpipe anyways), best bet on an ecu is a chipped p28, and for motor mounts you need to get a 94-97 accord drivers mount, and if you use an H trans im not sure which mount to use, but you can tap the trans to use the f22 mount but i herd it sits wierd, also you will either have to get obd1 h22 injectors or put the obd2 injector clips on the accord harness, and if you go the obd2 injectors youll have to remove the injector resistor box, and you have to use the f22 a/c bracket, and youll need to buy an h22 ps bracket, pump and have a custom ps line made, also youll only need to add 1 wire unless you use the iabs then a total of 3 where as the h22 is 5 since the f20b uses the oil pressure sensor as the vtec sensor also
