h23 upper plenum...worth it or not?

Sup guys, I bought a H23 upper plenum for the intake manifold a while back and im wondering if it is worth it to put on my F20A DOHC. The stock int. mani for the F20 motor is the same as a F22a6. Would it be worth it to swap it on there? What gains can i expect? This will have the same int. mani as a JDM F22B if it is swapped...What throttle bodies can I use on the h23 plenum?

wait...u got the plenum without the tb? I don't think anything bolts up to that plenum but the h23 tb. But i did read a long time ago that the accord v6 96-97ish tb fits it and is actually an upgrade for it. That is hearsay tho and i can neither confirm or deny it. As for gains...i dunno ::shrugs:: Its not a hard or time consuming install and easily comes off so try it and let us know

I was always under the impression that the F22B, F20A, H23A1 all were the same manis, and the F22A6 and H22Ax had the same design but different specs and such? Maybe thats incorrrect...?

But I know that the A6 TB will fit on the F22B/H23A1 manifold, and I still have that ported TB if you want it.

the H23 manifold has a different runner section than F series and the H22...it has a P14 stamp... and uses the same upper plenum as the H22 & F22B DOHC...the H23/F22B upper has a P13 stamp...same as the H22..

The F20A DOHC manifold is basically just an F22A6 manifold...except with the IAT blocked off...


I had never heard that you can't use any old TB on the H23/H22 upper plenum... I'm pretty sure you can use a F series TB...

So putting an H23 upper plenum on the F20A DOHC runners would be the same the H23 upper on an A6 mani...

I'd just use the whole H23A1 manifold if possible with a bored F series TB or an H23/H22 TB...

but the H23A1 upper would be a nice little upgrade with a bigger TB..ie: a bored F series TB or an H23/H22 TB...

The F and h23 TBs are different, the F series has the FIV on the intake mani, while the H series has it on the throttle body. just a though. if you go to http://www.slhondaparts.com/ and compare the TB gaskets, that will let you know for sure.
