f22b dohc into 88 civic hatch?

hey yall,i was wondering what you would think of this particular swap.
i might have a 88 civic hatch if all things pan out,and i was thinking what about putting in an f22b dohc into it?....can it be done?

i know anything can be done, with the money but i mean with in the realms of reason...i know there is a guy on here who has a f22a in his civic,so i don't see why it couldn't happen without a big hassle.

i have the f22b in my cb coupe, and i love it....in the civic im thinking it would be a street monster.

    anyone try this before?

hows the f22b in the cb. is it pretty quick??? im thinking of doin the same swap. i would imagine the f22b in the civic would be sweet. you will need the conversion kit from bisimoto though. i think its the h/d convo? i think?

This company makes 88-91 Civic/CRX H-series conversion kits http://www.explicitspeedperformance.net/ (H and F series are exactly the same swap)

You can also get mounts from Hasport
And you can get mounts from ebay for around a hundred bucks. And before anyone says "don't trust no-name ebay mounts".... I have used them (I am still using an ebay rear mount but made the other ones myself) and the ebay mounts are very well made and are very strong.

This swap isn't very difficult. You will need to make an engine wiring harness which isn't as complicated as it sounds (basically modify the civic harness). Then get the mounts, put the engine in. Then get an Accord/Prelude shifter and put it in. I believe one of the axles will have to be custom for an 88-91 civic with F series. That is basically it. There are a couple of other minor things like custom downpipe, injector resistor box, slim radiator fan, etc... but it's all self explanatory.

IMO this swap is a little easier in 92-95 civic because you don't need a custom axle (integra axles work) and there is a little more room in the engine bay (don't even need a slim fan. Plus I THINK The front crossmember needs to be modified in 88-91 but I am not 100% sure.
But an 88 civic hatch is gonna be really freaking light (if it's a base model) so it will move nicely with an F22B

Do some headwork+cams+tune+H22 trans on that F22B and it will be a low 13sec car in an 88 hatch.
