    Black box?

    Hello everyone,
I'm currently swaping a jdm f22b dohc into my 91' lx. I'm right in the middle of the process and I'm kinda stuck. What is the black box type thing that is on the underside of the intake manifold. It has a wire coming from it that prob. needs to be wired into the wiring harness but, my harness from my lx has no such fitting! Do I need to wire this thing in? What is it? Will it effect how the engine runs if I'm still using the old lx ecu? Any input is greatly appreciated!

Just b/c U post more doesn't mean U know more!

IAB, it controls the secondaries in the IM...I removed my box and hooked the IAB's up via vacuum method from Zigen...Run a vacuum line from the diaphragm nipple to the nipple on the back of the IntakeManni.

I've tried both hooking the IAB black to the ECU so it's rpm activated and running it straight off of vac...

and I liked it vac controlled better...much better...

You might want to try both and see which you like more...if you are up for the extra work...

It's only 1 wire to the ECU and one wire to a 12v source to hook it to the ECU though...not really that much extra work...

Some people like them disconnected/open though... try all three out...

so run a vacuum linefrom the gold thing that has the arm that opens the secondarys,go the the back of the IM,find a vaccum, whicever vacuum, run a T and connect it there?and i don't need an ecu to control it?that would just be peachy.....
