    Jdm F22b Dohc Swap!

I just completed a JDM F22B DOHC swap and wow. I definitely would recomment this swap to anyone that still has the f22a in their cb7 because it is very torquie. I would recommend a h23 or h22 tranny with it so you get the acceleration that you are wanting. but here is some pics of my swap with a decent wire tuck! also pics of my painted transmission, painted header, chipped and mild tuned p39 ecu, and a final pic.. let me know what you guys think.

do it man.. the chipped p39 you can get for 150 through speedy innovations.. they actually have a mild program they can throw in there too. but its very torquie i love it.. the cheapest i found the motor at is tigerjapanese.com for 474 + 150 shipped.. not bad

Yeah I have this motor and its pretty fun to drive. I have a friend in japan who shipped me my p39 for dirt cheap. I don't know how big of a difference the chipped p39 would make, but I would like to get some numbers from you to see if there is any difference. Oh, I am running the F22A tranny also...3rd and 4th are my favorite gears too! BTW I searched for speedy innovations and came up with nothing

Drive it slow, thats the advice I can give you
The F22B has proven to be a fun, but short lived motor
Crank Bearings apparently are their downfall

P39 ECUs can be chipped? Interesting. Anytime I've heard of them, they seem to be used in stock/untouched form.

very nice i have the same motor, pulled it a couple of weeks ago and swapped the f22a back in for a little bit so i can still drive my car while i get headwork done on the f22b. and i 'm curious about the benefits of a chipped p39, mine is in stock form

i dont think you can chip a p39 ecu, you can use a chipped p06 ecu tho.
