    f22b1 swap questions???

Before everyone says..."Do a search" I did a search for vacuum lines and f22b1 swaps and no one addressed vacuum lines. I have a 91 honda accord ex and swapped my a4 for the b1. My question is does it matter where the vacuum lines go as long as they are all plugged to the throttle body? Also I'm going to wire the MAP sensor that is on the b1's throttle body to the ecu can I dispose of the vacuum line to the old black box MAP sensor?

    Yes.....

BTW this thread is asking for answer not opinions on the motor choice. For those that have to chime in with there opinion

Thanks Chio; I noticed a lot of people get flamed or questions about this swap. My reasoning is the same though; My old engine failed and this was the cheapest replacement. I like it so far personally.

Anyone has the answer about the other vacuum lines???

as long as theres no vacuum leaks, it wont matter where they go as long as everythings plugged in or plugged up.

Just what I needed to know. Now on to my next questions...Now that I have all my lines plugged in the car is running better, but still not as smoothly as it should. I read a few post about swapping the a6 and a11 pins on the vtec ecu; so I did, but there wasn't any improvement.

you only need to swap those pins IF you are using the f22b1 ecu. It all depends on what ecu your using. What do you mean by not running "smoothy"? Misfires? Slow accelaration? Bouncing or fluctuating idle? Fill us in cause we'd love to help

literally all of the above. I'm using the ecu from the f22b1 to utilize the vtec(right?). I'll check my timing again, but I checked it like 10x before I put it in and before I closed everything up....the issues are speractic. Thanks for the help.

What timing did you check. . . ? Air in the cooling system can cause the idle issue or the FITV may of backed itself out. No cels?

The only cel i'm getting is for the vtec solenoid...I'll bleed the coolant system tomorrow and see if that takes care of the irregular idle. Thanks...
