Quick H23 Question

so first off, I searched the site using "h23a1 =site:cb7tuner.com" on google, and didn't find what i was trying to figure out. the thing i'm trying to understand is this post on craigslist: http://seattle.craigslist.org/tac/pts/1912327854.html

my question is: is there a USDM h23a1 that's obd2? because as you ought to have read this guy says he has an obd1 h23a1 block with and obd2 h23a1 head. I realize that a JDM H23 (vtec) came obd2, maybe this guy put the JDM H23 head on the USDM h23 block? This is what i'm not understanding, because from everything I've learned, the USDM h23a1 is just obd1... any input would be very much appreciated.

The h23a1 was made till 96 could possibly be obd 2 however mechanicly the same you may want to swap injetors and tb to make it work as obd 1 if it is in fact a obd2 head

actually i have another question... how do i tell if the h23a1 head is in fact obd2 like he says?

look at the sensors on the tb or the intake manifold. if they dont look like your obd1 sensors its probably obd2

nah, i planned to but by the time the guy responded to anything he already sold the head and i didn't want to pick up just the block.
