Actually just from that pic... it does look like a JDM F22A...the JDM sohc F's always have that spiffy silver valve cover...

What's the engine code? F22A? with no number desingnation behind it? if no number then it is indeed not a usdm f22ax...

Were you expecting an F22B DOHC?

even if ya did get the right engine, I would take it back unless you got a great deal on it. You could hunt down those engines for cheap.

Thats exactly what I am saying. I don't mind getting a JDM F22A...I just thought that for that price I was getting a B because the motor was never specified.

What would a reasonably priced F22A go for then? Maybe I can atleast get some cash back.

No. I ordered the motor I specifically asked for a JDM A series motor, but when the guy told me how much I asked if it was a B series and he said yeah. So thinking I got a pretty decent deal on a BH series motor and tranny, I told him to order it.

So when the motor arrived I looked at and was like WTF? I amd really not displeased with the motor, I just wouldn;t have pad that much knowing otherwise.

why would you want a JDM F22a? I would have made sure it was the F22B DOHC first before ordering it. Also there were NO pics of it? eh

No, they didn't have any pics of the motors, just really long lists. Whcih is why I didn;t expect them to have a B. I wanted a stock JDM A series just because Honda really isn't my cup of tea, I just couldnt get rid of the car, so I figured I'd pocket my money and put this car back to stock.

tough break man, that's why you gotta be completely anal about all the details when buying stuff.... if i was buying a f22b i'd be like...
ME: "so it's an f22b right?
Guy: yes.
me: and by yes you mean?
Guy: it's an f22b.
me : ok can you go to the block and read me the engine model?
Guy: sure.... f22b .
Me: ok now can you take like 8 pictures of it?
guy: ok
me: ok pictures look good... now you said that was an f22b right?
guy : yes.
me : so it's not an f22a right?

It ends up the guy did screw up...they are giving me some money back because of the screw up..im just gonna use the motor...as long as the car moves im fine
