I just completed mine, and looked on here and didn't see no write up. So I guess I'll make one.
Parts needed
h22 type s engine
f22, h22, h23 tranny
obd2a to obd1 ecu jumper harness
obd2a to obd1 dizzy adaptor harness
obd1 chipped p28 or p13 ecu
coolant
your old f22 axles if good
wire up the vtec pressure, vtec sol., and knock sensor into your wiring harn.
good motor mounts.. filled mine with window weld eurethane
h22 complete header... yours will be cut most likely.
your old tps sensor.. most likely your h22's will be broke
map sensor block off plate for the h22 throttle body since yours on firewall.
1. pull your old motor out.
2. would be a good time to tuck if your wanting to do so.
3. replace your timing belt, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, wires.
4. put a new clutch kit with flywheel onto it. bolt the tranny back on.
5. hook new motor to the engine hoist.
6. put the motor in at an angle. make sure to put it at an angle. and tranny down below the mount before you straighten it up.
7. line up the back mount first. put bolt in. then do the sides. then the front.
8. hook your harness into the main harnesses. hook clutch lines and shift linkage up. whatever is left to hook up, sure you know where everything goes.
9. bleed the clutch if you have manual.
10. change the oil. add tranny fluid to the transmission.
11. add coolant.
12. prime the gas by turning ignition on and off about 10 times.
13. start her up. if it doesn't start, troubleshoot. if it starts look for leaks and check over everything to make sure everything is good. if good let run til at running temp. check to see if coolant fan comes on. if everything is good, test drive it to see how she drives. this completes the h22 type s swap! enjoy
If I left anything out, which I most likely did, just add some more in the reply's and i'll add it to the list thanks.
