i thinks its been done maybe not on accords but deff on other cars k20a's are tuff ass motors. guy in my area has one on his ek coupe on a 175 shot. takes it every weekend to the races. as far as space i dont see why there wouldnt be any space the exuast manifolds against the firewall. idk i figure if thats the root u wanna take do it and find out all the problems ur gonna come across, your gonna be very happy with the end result and so will anyone else with a cb7. id think thats shit cool

If you get the side mount turbo manifold you should have plenty of clearance. The turbo sits directly above the tranny.
Edit: Here's a pic:

Or you could always go supercharged.Last edited by Cobalt; 10-19-2010, 04:50 PM.Call me Travis.

2point6 has a k24 block/k20 head combo running a big turbo in his CB. go for it though man, the k-series is a badass motor. hasport makes mounts for our cars and a k-pro system will take care of any ECU issues. the parts for the swap can get expensive if you dont get a deal on them though. what all came with the k20 you got? im talking about the trans, shift cables, accessories, intake manifold, etc.

I hope you have money to spend... a turbo K20 in a CB is going to take a LOT of work, a LOT of money, and a bit of custom fabrication. It can be done, but buying the engine is the cheapest part!
If you don't know anything about turbo systems, I suggest you learn that first. Learn the basics of turbocharging before you even buy a single part. Otherwise, you could end up wasting a ton of money, and possibly blowing that motor up.
In the meantime, you should be looking for a tuner that can properly tune an ECU for a K20. chances are, you're going to need to run something aftermarket, such as K-pro.
Expect to spend a few thousand dollars just getting that K20 in there. Then expect to drop that much more on quality turbo parts (I don't think you're going to want to risk running some cheap-shit Chinese ebay kit...) If you want to do anything but low boost, you're going to want to build the engine, and that can easily add up to over $10,000.
Truth be told, you could most likely find an EvoVIII for less than a turbo K20 in a CB7 is going to cost you. Not that I'm trying to talk you out of it... but I want to make sure you understand what you're getting yourself into!

Crap, that is something i did not know. I was planning on using the hasport kit, I came across a good deal on a k20a from a friend of mine. I am prepared for the cost but would like to avoid custom mounts I also have a very low mile tranny from an ep3 will that work with the k24? I was planning on an h22 but have heard the k is a lot more durable with boost. Looks like I need to do a lot more research. I got a good deal and got excited but I definitely want it to work well. I did buy an 04 rsx ecu with kpro there is a tuned near me who uses it. Thanks for he help.Originally posted by deevergote View PostAt least a K24 (as long as it's not from a CRV or Element) would at least bolt in easily with the Hasport kit. Modifications to the kit will need to be made to install the K20. That, or fully custom mounts.Last edited by platinumb; 10-21-2010, 12:23 AM.
