    manual transmission bracket

    hi again guyz , ive manage to source me a manual transmission bracket for the auto /manual swap , im not sure how i should go about welding the bracket in .can some who has done this talk me through this ?
    help apperciate .

    ill post here tonight on how much inchs from the firewall you got to weld it. cus you cant just remove the at bracket and weld the manual one there.
    miss my turbo cb7
    moved onto volvos. dont know how that happened, just did

      I thought from the factory that the manual bracket sat forward a little more than the auto bracket?

        exactly 12 in away from the rad support.

            thats for a cb. if you have a cd chassis it might be different

              ok, i havnet fitted ther bracket in as yet but i stumble across one more problem .
              is the rear auto tranny mount bracket the same as ther manual tranny bracket ? cos for some unknown reason the bracket sit high from the rear mount. i wouild have to literally twist the engine for it to line up to put the bolt through.

                no you need the manual bracket. auto wont work.

                this is what you need to swap it.

                tranny,
                flywheel,
                clutch,
                starter,
                driver side axle
                manual half shaft
                clutch master and slave cylinder
                the line from the master to the slave,
                the manual frame bracket,
                the manual rear tranny mount bracket,
                the shift cables,
                the shifter assembly,
                shift boot and knob,
                the speed sensor,
                loop the wires for the neutral safety switch,
                dont forget the clutch pedal and brake pedal.
                as for the fuild for the transmission, use 5w30 motor oil. you need 3 qts.

                i think i listed everything. buying a manual cluster is optional
