I'm pretty amped rite now, my friend's friend is selling his Type S H22 (red top) COMPLETE swap. I mean complete. 5spd LSD tranny, axles, full dizzy, alternator, manifolds, mounts, complete harness still attached to the ECU, all complete lines & hoses, sensors; for gods sake the radiator is included. All for $3k. I just have to pick it up & pay him. w00t. price is alot, but this kind of swap goes for 4k+ on Hmotorsonline. I'm hoping the compression isnt fukt; it shouldnt be cuz its his friend. Anyway, feedback pls!

hmmm gonna have a lot of dead weight when throwing that into the CB7.
i dont know of anyone who has been able to swap either a type s or sh (both have ATTS) and make it work. also pay attention to the type s being an OBD II motor. but that motor is super sickness..kingmotorsports has a fully rebullt and never driven type s motor for 5500 sans tranny.

i had no idea it only uses the ATTS tranny, that kinda bursts my bubble. I'll try to get his number today. That motor would be sick, but I plan doing most of the swap myself, so I don't want any problems. BTW, a shop told me there's a complete changeover from obdI=>obdII and that it was "legal". I have a '95 5th gen (the last year of OBDI-w00T)
No other trannys are usable

yea the obd II to obd I harness fixes the problem but i was just pointing it out. to my knowledge people have swapped in type s&sh but they just didnt have atts working so thats a lot of deadweight, and as far as headers since it has atts there are clearance issues. those are the top two issues i know about with these motors other than that they are beasts... if you like thw power you get from the s motor you could run a stock h22 and use type s internals but for the power gains it doesnt seem worth the money

heh, thx for advice. Can you send (or anyone) send a genuine type S motor link to one in an accord? I've seen red tops, but painting ur valve cover is cheating. No red paint plsOriginally posted by clarksterdotcomyea the obd II to obd I harness fixes the problem but i was just pointing it out. to my knowledge people have swapped in type s&sh but they just didnt have atts working so thats a lot of deadweight, and as far as headers since it has atts there are clearance issues. those are the top two issues i know about with these motors other than that they are beasts... if you like thw power you get from the s motor you could run a stock h22 and use type s internals but for the power gains it doesnt seem worth the money
