    Vacuum Tank?

    Hello all,

Hey look I was looking at this little black box under my IM. It's vacuum tank I guess. Is that just for the cruise control? I don't plan on having CC and I'm wondering if this tank is just for that system how can I bypass it and not have the ECU throw any CEL's?

Cool I gotta pick one up this weekend. One of the nipples broke. This just reminded me; I gotta find my vacuum diagram or make another one.

      Is that the secondary??

      Thanks AlmostJDM !!.

The black box attached to the bottom of the IM is definitely for IAB operation.

Thanks though any input is welcome. I figured it out and picked one up today. Good thing I didn't go with with cheap penny pinching first mind to just super glue the nipple on. When I took the vacuum tank off I found that the brackets were broke and there was a crack in it. Can't keep a vacuum if you get air right...

What is that canister on under drivers' side fender? It got totally smashed in accident and I left it off after putting a new fender on. Car runs fine without it. (the Coupe)

Almost is right. It's the asher fluid. There is a steel color canister on the driverside for the power steering but its not under the fender.

Well after the accident all I can say is it was a canister with a small hose that inserted on the lid. If there was something inside it it didn't survive. It was attached to the body near front drivers wheel, as if factory made, and not inside engine bay..outside. Car works fine ...but sure would like to know what it was.
Here is the car after the accident (you can't see the front but it looks like a busted jaw) The canister was under that fender.

                            Cruise control vaccum tank

It has lines running out of it to the cruise control actuator right up in that corner of the bay
